About Milwaukee Bid Whist, Spades, Dominos & Backgammon Meetup
Hey fellow Bid Whist, Spades, and Domino players! My name is Michele and I'm the founder and organizer of the Milwaukee Bid Whist, Spades, & Dominos Meetup Group.
I started this group because I grew up watching my parents and family play Bid and once I learned, I wanted to make sure that the game lived on, especially in Milwaukee. Spades is another game that's always interested me but I never really learned to play very well. Why not create a group that meets on a regular basis and whose main focus is not only Bid and Spades, but having fun at the same time! I've been organizing Meetups for two years, off and on. This group is celebrating its First Year and I'm hoping the next year brings bigger and better for us!
A few of my goals for this group are:
- to have a minimum of 50 members
- to travel to other cities to play other Meetup groups (some of which have already invited us to their fair cities for some friendly competition!)
- to eventually help in the community at least twice/year by contributing in ways that our members feel are important (like a coat drive for kids, helping to feed the homeless at Thanksgiving, or collecting toys for less fortunate children at Christmas time).
You are not required to do any community service or traveling unless you want to.
